These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Placed Email at placed.email (the "Service"), operated by Placed Email, Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing credits, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service for a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. The Service

Placed Email is an automated software platform for email deliverability testing. You connect your own sending mailboxes, choose a testing schedule and email content, and our software sends test emails from your mailboxes to monitored seed addresses at business email providers. It then reports where each email was placed (inbox, secondary tab, spam, or not received). The Service is delivered entirely by software; no consulting or manual services are included.

2. Accounts

• Your account is created when you complete your first purchase. You set your password using the link we email to you.
• You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must give accurate information and be at least 18 years old.

3. Credits, pricing and payment

• Credits. One credit pays for one connected mailbox being tested once against the business providers in our seed network at that time. A test uses one credit per connected mailbox included in it, however many emails, seed addresses or providers that test involves, and including any automatic resends. Credits are deducted when a test starts. If a mailbox sends no emails during a test (for example, because its login fails), that mailbox's credit is returned to your balance automatically.
• Subscription plans. Plans (Starter, Growth, Scale and Unlimited) are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically on the same day each month until cancelled. At each renewal your plan's credits are refilled to the plan's monthly amount. Unused plan credits from the previous month do not carry over. The Unlimited plan includes up to 1000 credits per month.
• Changing plans. Upgrades take effect immediately: you pay a prorated amount for the rest of the billing month and receive the difference in credits straight away. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account or the billing portal. Your plan stays active, with its credits, until the end of the month you've paid for, and then does not renew.
• Credit packs are one-off purchases, not subscriptions. Pack credits are valid for the month in which you buy them plus one additional month (two months from the purchase date), and then expire.
• Order of use. When a test runs we use the credits that expire soonest first. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
• Prices are shown in USD on our pricing page, including any volume discount. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. We may change prices for future purchases; this does not affect credits you have already bought.
• Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payments are also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

4. Refunds

Unused subscription credits can be refunded within 14 days of the payment they came from. Credit packs are non-refundable. Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.

5. Your responsibilities

• Only connect mailboxes you own or are authorised to use, and keep their credentials up to date.
• You are responsible for the content of the test emails you configure. It must be lawful, and it must not contain malware, phishing, or content that infringes others' rights.
• You must comply with applicable laws on email and data protection, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR and the policies of your email providers.
• You must not use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email to anyone other than our seed addresses, to probe or attack systems, to resell access without our written consent, or to interfere with the Service.

6. Testing schedule and availability

We aim to run tests at the times you choose, but tests may be delayed or skipped because of maintenance, third-party provider capacity, or circumstances beyond our control. Where a test cannot start, no credits are used. We may update the seed network and the list of providers tested at any time to keep results representative.

7. Results

Placement results show how specific seed mailboxes treated specific test emails at a specific time. Mailbox providers' filtering changes constantly and varies by recipient, so results are a guide, not a guarantee of how any future campaign will be delivered.

8. Intellectual property

We own the Service and its software, design and content. You keep all rights to your email content and data. You give us a limited licence to use them only to provide the Service.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@placed.email. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, put our infrastructure or seed network at risk, or are used for abusive sending. Where we close an account without a breach on your part, we will refund the value of any unused credits.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
